Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Enrolled full-time at American River College and have completed 24 semester units with a 3.20 minimum GPA

Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Member from disadvantaged backgrounds (see "NIH Definition of Disadvantaged backgrounds ")

Intend to transfer to UC Davis into majors in the Biological Sciences or Bioengineering.

Demonstrate a genuine curiosity in biology or bioengineering and a strong motivation to pursue research

Be academically prepared to participate in the B2B CURE course at ARC in BIOL400: Principles of Biology taught by Rick Topinka.

Commit to the academic and co-curricular requirements of the B2B Program (i.e., the CURE, the summer research experience, RCR and reproducibility training, and at least one year of B2B supported UG research at UCD).
